Arm Aesthetics
Problems with arm sagging vary from person to person. Sometimes the structure of the skin is damaged and regional oiliness increases; Sometimes, sagging skin occurs due to rapid weight loss. If there is no sagging and only fat, liposuction will be sufficient. If the skin quality is impaired and there are cracks, arm lift surgery is required. In some patients, both liposuction and arm lift can be combined.
Sagging and deformations due to excessive weight loss are corrected with arm lift surgery and the arms are tightened. However, since arm lift will create a scar on the back of the arm, it is a recommended method for suitable patients with severe deformation and sagging. Arm lift surgery can be performed under local anesthesia or general anesthesia.
A long ellipse of skin and fat tissue is removed from the inner and back parts of the arm. The incision area is stitched in two layers with an aesthetic stitch from the inside and outside, and a special corset or bandage is attached to the arms. It is generally recommended to keep the arms elevated in the first period after the operation. The patient can start daily activities within 2-3 days.
Thigh Lift Surgery
Thigh lift surgery is an aesthetic and functional intervention that involves removing the skin on the inner thighs and the underlying fat tissue, which loses its elasticity and becomes excessive as a result of advancing age and excessive weight gain and loss, and tightening the thigh. Thanks to this surgical procedure, a taut appearance is given to the inner part of the leg and the discomfort caused by friction in this area is dramatically corrected.
Ideal candidates for thigh lift aesthetics are individuals who have a relatively good body size, but have loose skin and excess fatty tissue on their inner thighs that they cannot correct with exercise and diet. Fat removal by liposuction or other aesthetic interventions may also be recommended in addition to this procedure, if necessary.
The scar is in the shape of a line. In the thigh lift, this scar will be placed so that it remains hidden in the groin area.
Anesthesia
This surgery is usually performed under general anesthesia. However, if a surgery such as only a thigh lift or only a hip lift is to be performed, spinal anesthesia can also be performed under anesthesia.
Post-Operative Care:
The patient stays in the hospital for 1 day after this surgery. Depending on the surgeon’s preference, drains placed in the surgery area may remain in place for 3-5 days. The initial feeling of discomfort or pain at the surgery site will be relieved with painkillers given after the surgery. Although walking may be a little painful in the first days after the surgery, the pain will disappear in the following days.
Activities will be limited for the first two weeks. Daily activities can be gradually returned within the second week. As is the case after almost every surgery, exercise is prohibited for 6 weeks and sports activities can be started after 6 weeks.
